Former CFO Nick Tsahalis Promoted to President

Maslow Media Group announced today the promotion of CFO Nick Tsahalis to President. Also joining the MMG executive team are Sandhya Dayal as Director of Human Resources and Sonja Zeller as Financial Controller.

The shift in leadership is a first for the 28-year-old Maslow Media Group. Over the last three decades, the company – founded by CEO Linda Maslow – has taken great pride in providing clients, including corporate and federal media departments, cable networkds, and production companies, with a single source for staffing, crewing, payroll, and managed services worldwide. Recognized as one of the industry’s top five payroll companies, the Maslow Media Group team has continuously received accolades throughout the years for everything from writing checks to writing scripts.

Nick joined Maslow Media Group in 2015, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Harvest Garden Pro, Recycled Green Industries, and Atlantic Video. His extensive experience in media, production, and public accounting spans a variety of industries, from staffing to organics recycling. He received his degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business, and lives with his wife and four children in Montgomery County, Md.

“I am excited for this wonderful opportunity to lead such a great company. Maslow Media Group has a tremendous history and I am honored to lead our amazing staff moving forward,” Nick said. “The future of MMG is bright!”

Sandhya Dayal

Sandhya has led HR efforts for industries ranging from broadcasting (Turner Broadcasting Systems) to hospitality (Hyatt Hotels and Resorts). As Maslow Media Group’s Director of Human Resources, she will assist the company’s talent acquisition team in attracting exemplary candidates, developing retention and engagement programs, and ensuring competitive benefits and compensation packages for all employees.

After living on four different continents, Sandhya has planted her roots in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.

“Whether on short-term assignment or long-term employment, I want every employee to have an enriching and engaging experience at Maslow,” Sandhya said. “I am thrilled to be joining Maslow Media Group and feel privileged to be part of its growth.”

Sonja Zeller

Sonja, Maslow Media Group’s new financial controller, has spent her entire professional life in accounting and finance, and previously worked with the National Geographic Channel.  When not crunching numbers, she can be found working in her vegetable and flower gardens or biking and hiking with her husband and three children.

“I’m very excited to be joining this team and building the future on the successful foundation Linda has created,” Sonja said.

Linda Maslow

CEO Linda Maslow, who plans to retire in late spring of 2017, has long been considered a visionary in her field. Following an early career that spanned more than two decades in the film and television industry, she founded Maslow Media Group in 1988 to fill what she believed was an industrywide void for simple, swift sourcing of talent.

In 2016, Maslow Media Group was named one of the Top 10 Woman-Owned Businesses in Washington, D.C. by The Washington Business Journal.

“It’s hard to believe how much time has passed, how big and successful MMG has become, how many people we have helped along the way, and we are still growing,” said Linda. “What’s amazing is that the people we placed in positions 20 years ago have grown into senior managers and are now our clients!”

“Our new Senior Management Team is incredible and I’m grateful to see such professionals carry on the business. I couldn’t be prouder of any other accomplishment in my life. This was my baby and I’ll never disconnect.”
